Favorites| K-Du Jour

I have been having a bad day today. As you may know I have pretty bad anxiety and that spans throughout the whole summer worrying of losing time and that school will eventually reign down its terror once again. You may be thinking this does not sound like a favorites post, but my mom has told me "Don't dwell on the negative, think about the positive." It sounds easy enough, but instead I find myself pretending to be positive on the outside (most days)and inside, conjuring up every possible scenario that could go wrong. So I am trying very hard with this and decided to do a post about my favorites even though I feel like...

Anyway, I did one of these before for April, but there has been such a huge gap that I am just calling it my favorites because there is not a clear month it all belongs to.

Author: John Green

My love for John Green's writing has spanned for quite a while now the first one being, The Fault In Our Stars over a year ago. This month I read both Looking For Alaska and Paper Towns. Reading three of his books and having a couple more on my to do list I can rightfully say what a talented author he is. John Green has found the balance between the fantasy that we all want our lives to turn out to be and the reality that comes with it. I could say more, but I don't want to give away any spoilers.

Origins Checks and Balances Frothy Foaming Face Wash

I recently ran out of the Clarsonic face wash that came with my brush so I figured now is the perfect time as any to try a new face wash. So after doing a little bit of research (more like days of scouring the web for people's opinions on what is basically soap) I came out with this. It wasn't a huge splurge, but the price is over what I usually spend. That being said I say it was worth it, it foams up very nicely and leaves my face feeling really clean. I believe it is suitable for both dry and oily skin (and I can never determine which one I am) which is fantastic. Although I have never had HUGE issues with my skin this keeps it nice and clear.

Not So Cartier Bracelet

I purchased my face wash with a gift card and I had a little more left on it so I got this Rose Gold Cartier bracelet for only $8! I am super impressed by it! It does have a slightly oval shape and comes in one size which may be too small for some wrists, but I think it is great for the price.

French Lavender and Honey Body scrub

This scrub is from Bath and Body Works and does wonders for me. I can not tell you how soft my legs are after using this! The smell is wonderful also! I will most certainly have to stock up this product.

You may know her from her amazing youtube channel which I love, but what I have also been loving is her blog. She is such a fantastic writer and really connects with her readers. I feel as though when some youtubers have both a youtube channel and a blog they use the blog as another outlet for their videos which is perfectly fine, but I find it so incredible and impressive that she is able to come up with new and great content for both.

XOXO,
KD
